LOROS Colour Mile Hinckley

colour fun mile

LOROS is the Hospice for Leicestershire and Rutland. Like many voluntary organisations it relies on fundraising events.

Today it was the colour fun mile, on the streets of Hinckley.

Prior to the run, the runners gathered in a local park to cover each other with coloured powder. They thought that was it.

The organisers had other ideas and set up a series of ‘spray stations’ on the mile. The pale green one is at the bottom of the hill!

The winner did really well, as all the stations had it in for him.

Until, eventually…

Being a large scale event of over 1,000 entrants first aid cover was essential. Obviously the ambulance didn’t get clobbered with coloured powder.
